Slightly more than a mile, the Radegund Mile race was on an unusually warm, muggy Sunday. A strong rolling start under the bridge gave us some speed and confidence for the first part of the race. With strong headwinds hitting us on the corners, we slowed down, but then re-set with the backs into the wind. We managed to get a final, strong burst for the last part of the reach, to the finish at the railway bridge. Despite some difficult conditions, we had an enjoyable race day and put in a good row!

In one of the first races of the term, the crew put in a strong effort and finished with a time of 0:09:59. Although we came bottom of the third division in this race, the hard work we put in all helped us develop over the term and produce the wins in the final regatta.
